Réjean Hébert nommé doyen de l’École de santé publique de l’UdeM
L’ancien ministre de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec, Réjean Hébert a récemment été nommé doyen de l’École de santé publique de l’Université de Montréal (ESPUM), poste qu’il occupera à compter du 1er juin prochain. - 10/05/2017
Le CMQ lance un guide d'exercice sur les ordonnances collectives
«L’expérience des dernières années a démontré que l'utilisation [des ordonnances collectives] n’était pas toujours optimale, et a révélé certaines difficultés dans leur élaboration et leur application», a constaté le Collège des médecins du Québec. Les AINS augmenteraient le risque de crise cardiaque
Les anti-inflammatoires non stéroïdiens (AINS) pourraient accroître le risque de crise cardiaque dès la première semaine d’utilisation. C’est ce que tend à démontrer une étude parue mardi dans le British Medical Journal. - 10/05/2017
Inondations: les pavillons évacués nécessiteront quelques semaines de rénovations

Nouvelles recommandations canadiennes sur la prescription d’opioïdes
De nouvelles directives nationales publiées dans le Journal de l’Association médicale canadienne recommandent aux médecins d’éviter de prescrire systématiquement des opioïdes aux patients souffrant de douleurs chroniques non liées au cancer. On les encourage plutôt à utiliser d’autres traitements afin d’éviter les risques associés à ces puissants narcotiques. - 09/05/2017

Inondations: les services reprennent au CISSS de l’Outaouais
Alors que les rendez-vous et les soins non urgents ont été annulés lundi dans les hôpitaux de Hull et de Gatineau à cause des inondations, les activités ont repris leur cours normalement mardi au CISSS de l’Outaouais.
